Daniel Putnam

Lecturer
Postdoctoral Fellow, Political Economy Project at Dartmouth

Daniel Putnam will be at Dartmouth College as a Lecturer in the Philosophy Department and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Political Economy Project (PEP). His work focuses on moral and political philosophy, bioethics, and philosophy and literature. For 2018-19, he is teaching a survey course on moral philosophy (Fall) and a seminar on freedom of expression (Winter). Before coming to Dartmouth, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Human Values at Princeton University. Originally from Oakland, California, Daniel received his Ph.D. from Yale University and his B.A. from Swarthmore College.
