This workshop will concern questions at the intersection of general jurisprudence and constitutional law. One of the main questions we're interested in is how theories in general jurisprudence should infom debates about constitutional interpretation (e.g., the debate over originalism). Another theme we plan to explore is how work in general jurisprudence can be informed by work in metaethics and metanormative inquiry, as well as work in the philosophy of games and sports.
Format: Pre-read, 5 speakers, 5 commentators.
Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Free and open to all, but pre-registration is required (stay tuned for the Registration link).
Convened by Prof. David Plunkett (Dartmouth) and co-organized by Mitch Berman (Penn Law) and Daniel Wodak (Penn Philosophy).
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
