Agnes Callard is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Chicago. Her primary areas of specialization are ancient philosophy and ethics. Among her publications are Aspiration: The Agency of Becoming, published by Oxford University Press in 2017, and her article "Transformative Activity in Elena Ferrante's My Brilliant Friend" in John Schwenkler and Enoch Lambert's Transformative Experience (Oxford University Press).
